However, despite the drop in subscriber numbers, Sony’s network services revenue – which encompasses PS Plus and advertising – actually increased by 10%, from 106 billion yen to 116 billion yen.

This means Sony’s games division is making more money per subscriber than before, potentially reflecting the adoption of the more expensive subscription tiers introduced by PS Plus.
