OCMX™ is pleased to announce the listing of LogicInk to its online portal offering financial networks the opportunity to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 23, 2023 /24-7Press Release/ — LogicInk is listed on THE OCMX™
LogicInk is a lifestyle sensor company that develops biochemical signals that can be worn or applied daily. From screening Covid-infected presymptomatic people, to early detection of genetic traits that may be harmful later in life, we focus on increasing your knowledge to support every aspect of your daily well-being.
LogicInk’s focus is on developing a saliva-based at-home molecular test called Genetic Signal. The signal is instrument-free, battery-free and has PCR sensitivity, unlocking hundreds of markets and applications where PCR testing is done today but without the need for centralized laboratories and/or bulky, expensive, cumbersome instrumentation.
Essentially, we are democratizing ultra-sensitive molecular testing for everyday use, empowering people with the information to live longer, healthier lives.
OCMX™ is pleased to announce the listing of LogicInk to its online portal offering financial networks the opportunity to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
OCMX™ has spent a lot of time completing its due diligence on LogicInk and has come to the conclusion that there is indeed enormous potential for this company.
OCMX™ noted that LogicInk exhibits the key components of any solid opportunity, namely a solid management team, a strong track record and several key competitive advantages.
OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS
Market opportunity
Ultimately, LogicInk Genetic Signal represents a health and wellness product opportunity that spans multi-billion dollar markets under one platform.
Experienced team with track record of success
We have managed to attract some of the most renowned scientists in the world, some of whom are arguably among the top 5 world experts in DNA nanotechnology to realize a shared vision of a health and wellness biosensor platform.
Established investor support
We have received early stage funding from organizations such as the Thiel Foundation (Peter Thiel), Village Global (LPs Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and others), Metaplanet (Skype co-founder Jaan Tallin), some of which are already repeat investors or are plan to be as we continue to show progress.
Once in a lifetime opportunity
LogicInk’s progress is being tracked by a few multi-billion dollar companies and by high-profile personalities who recognize the power of the Genetic Signal platform. We understand that once we have completed the biochemistry of the signal – where we are in the last mile to achieve – additional resources will be poured in by our largest investors and partners on significantly different terms.
WHERE ARE THEY AT?
Our main beach market is screening for Covid and other respiratory diseases. People are most contagious as early as 2 days before symptoms appear, but existing tests cannot accurately detect presymptomatic carriers or are too expensive or impractical to be used frequently. But today, Covid is still the third leading cause of death in the US.
In addition to respiratory diseases, we are working to establish partnerships where our genetic signaling platform can be programmed to screen for nucleic acid sequences associated with other conditions of interest, specifically we are focusing on concussion screening as a second market and have already received attention from the NFL.
IMPORTANT MILES GAMES
• Secured $6.1 million from investors including The Thiel Foundation (Peter Thiel), Village Global (Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg), Metaplanet (Skype co-founder, Jaan Tallin)
• Secured $1 million in Fortune 50/100/200 and NIH SBIR Phase I grants to develop a series of functional prototypes as part of a product-market fit
• Fully developed a Suncare Signal product (pre-pandemic roadmap) with the capacity to scale its manufacturing to tens of millions of units per month
• Brought together some of the most renowned researchers in the world in DNA nanotechnology, including Hendrik Dietz, Paul Rothemund, Chris Thachuk and Shawn Douglas
• Finalist for FastCompany Life Changing Ideas
• Recipient of NIH SBIR Phase I grant
• Featured in several series including Disney+’s The World according to Jeff Goldblum, T-Pain School of Business
• Chosen to be part of several accelerator programs, including most recently FitTech Club, “a business community in a health age”
MANAGEMENT GROUP
Carlos Olguin, MSc, Founder and CEO
Carlos has established an exceptional multidisciplinary team pioneering new chemical and biological materials and technologies and their potential applications for biosensing. Carlos has considerable expertise in programmable materials applications developed in part after founding and leading the Bionano Research group at Autodesk – later Autodesk Life Sciences.
Hendrik Dietz, PhD, co-founder and acting chief scientist
Hendrik is a physicist by training and ranks among the world’s leading researchers in DNA nanotechnology. Dietz routinely publishes in high-ranking journals such as Nature and Science, holds several patents, and is an entrepreneur looking to translate academic insights into commercial products.
Paul Wilhelm Karl Rothemund, PhD, Advisor and DNA Nanotech Consultant
Paul is a research professor at Caltech and invented the field of DNA origami. He shared both categories of the 2006 Feynman Prize in Nanotechnology with Erik Winfree for their work on creating DNA nanotubes, algorithmic molecular self-assembly of DNA tiles, and their theoretical work on DNA computation. Rothemund is also a 2007 recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship.
Steven Wrobel, Co-Founder and Principal Scientist
Steven has a degree in chemistry from UC Berkeley. Steve has been instrumental in the design, implementation and calibration of LogicInk Suncare Signals. His work at LogicInk also includes co-inventing and implementing a POC for a very unique pollution sensor (PM2.5) that excludes electronics and can be used in a variety of scenarios.
Don Voss, MBA, Board Advisor and Business Development
Don holds a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He has extensive experience in finance, operations, global sales and partnership marketing with Kimberly Clark and The Coca-Cola Company. Don is responsible for sales and the path to market strategic execution.
