Hugh Jackman has hinted that his Wolverine character won’t be toned down for his official MCU debut.
In September, it was announced that Logan would appear in Dead Pool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds. In an interview with PA EntertainmentJackman teased that his Wolverine would be “angrier” even more, ruling out the possibility of a softer version of the mutant X-Men under the Disney banner.
“There’s no other choice. He’s definitely angrier, a little grumpy, and he’s going to take a lot of free shots on Ryan Reynolds. Physically, of course,” Jackman said.

Jackman originally said 2017 Logan would be the last time fans saw him in the role. But he’s clearly changed his mind, not least thanks to his friend Reynolds’ daily pleas for a Wolverine/Deadpool team-up.
“It’s been five years and I really never thought I’d be back and I’m really, really excited about it,” he said, remaining tight-lipped on plot details.

“I’m going to have the best time of my life,” he continued.
“I can tell you that I’ve started working out and eating a lot – and I feel bad for the cast of The music man [his Broadway musical] for the number of protein shakes I take – but it’s a lot of fun.”
Last month, Jackman finally gave in to Reynolds’ demands to have a project involving both Merc with a Mouth and Wolverine.
“I think it was a big shock for him. There was a huge pause and then he said, ‘I can’t believe this is going well,'” Jackman shared.
Deadpool and Deadpool 2 are streaming on Disney+and also available on digital download, DVDs and Blu-rays. Dead Pool 3 went out on September 6, 2024.
