Tributes are pouring in from the entertainment world after rapper Migos Takeoff died early Tuesday outside a bowling alley in Houston.

Houston police officers responded to the shooting at 810 Bowling & Billiards, 1201 San Jacinto in Midtown, where the private event was being held, Sgt. Michael Arrington told reporters. He said several shell casings were found on the third level of the building. Officers discovered a dead man when they arrived. Two other people were injured and taken to hospital in private vehicles, police said.

Takeoff, whose real name is Kirsnick Khari Ball, was part of the famous Atlanta rap group along with Quavo and Offset. He was 28 years old.

Immediately, many paid tribute to the late rapper, who called himself the most underrated and hated of the popular trio, and called for an end to the rise in gun-related shootings in hip hop culture. .

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said in a tweet Tuesday morning that “too many young men of color are killing each other.”
